July the month of Happiness!

35 weeks and 3 days!!

Yay, the time is soon to arrive. Rozlyn's room is all done, just have to set up her swing. I am now ready to have her, well not right now but when the time is right she's welcome to arrive. As some of you may know that Rozlyn's room is not the average baby room, since Kenny will be deploying mid September we decided to wait on the crib and settle for the pack n play since I'll be up in Oregon for the time he's gone. I am really excited to start using the room and for her to arrive.

Cora has been so good with the adjusting of the room. She loves to walk in and snoop around and look into the pack n play. I know she knows that she's going to have a little sister, since I've been telling her for many many months. I am excited for them to bond and for her to be her protector. It'll be great going up to Oregon, that way she wont feel lonely since her daddy is going to be gone and she'll have Lucy and my parents to play with, so she'll love it.

I am all done with school till August 18th. It feels great to be done with my 4 week classes and then have a break. Yes, I am still going to continue college when she arrives, I know I can do it if I am that determine which I am. I can not wait till graduation time but I know that's around one of those corners, just haven't found which one yet.

Finals are right around the corner:)

27 Weeks Pregnant!!
Woohoo!!! Time has gone by so fast. Next week is finals week, and then I'll be done with school for a couple weeks and start back up June 7th for 2 4 week classes. :) Yes, I am determined!

Rozlyn Kathleen is kicking and moving like crazy and I love every minute of it. Buying baby stuff is fun, but I am not trying to buy a whole lot all at once. We decided to wait on getting the crib since Kenny will be deployed 8 weeks after she's born and I'll be up in Oregon for the whole time he's gone. Pack n Play is going to be her bed for a while.

My sister has been in 36+ hrs of pre labor, today is her due date and we are all just waiting for Julie Rose to enter this amazing world. I am so excited to have a niece, can not wait till she arrives, today could be the day:):) Life is great!!

27 January 2010

finally back to blogging!!

So, It's been a while since I last blogged.
We had a great time over the holidays! We went to visit Kenny's family in Vegas and had a wonderful time with them. It was really nice meeting his uncles and aunts. It seemed as though the time went by so fast but it was also great to come back home before Christmas and spend it here.
Christmas was great. It was low key but we enjoyed it.
For new years we hung out with some friends and play games. Another relaxing time with people.

School has started back up for me and so far it's been going great. I enjoy my classes so far even though it's only the 2nd week of classes. It's nice being back on campus and attending classes instead of taking all online courses.

My sister is having a girl. Julie Rose in May! I am so excited to finally have a niece. It's nice buying boy clothes but I am going to enjoy buying girl clothes.
Other than that we are just having a great beginning of the new year and making the best out of living in this town.

October Blues!!

Well it is official!

I am an auntie again. My sister inlaw just gave birth to Marcus Matthew Martin October 26, 2009. He weighed 6pds 9ounces, 19 1/2 inches. He was an early baby, his original date was November 10th. I guess he wanted to be born before Halloween so he can dress up.:)
Todd was able to meet his boy on web cam. I am sure you all know that he is deployed and he wont be back till June.
Things are going great with us. We are enjoying the cool weather and I am hoping for some snow but I doubt that. We got our pumpkins and will be carving them on Friday. I love Halloween because I love candy.
There may be a change in plans for Kenny's deployment, he may have to leave in March instead of May but we are not for sure yet. He would only be gone for 4 months, so it's not too bad as to other people's deployment.

I would like to say that whenever someone has a baby in my family or a close friend I always get the comments back saying (when are you and kenny going to have a kid? your getting old better before your eggs die, and some other comments along that line). I would like to address the issue of that.
Fact: Kenny and I have been married for over 3 years, we have an amazing married life, we have an amazing dog Cora which I call my daughter, and we are enjoying our life being married and being us 2, well 3 counting Cora.
Many of you who know me, knows how much I would love to start a family. Timing is the key for us. Kenny will be deployed next year and I have no idea when, if he deploys in May then he would be gone for the birth of our kid if I were to get pregnant before the end of the year. I would love for my husband to be there on that special day. Also, my eggs aren't dying anytime soon. I technically have 11 more years till I am 35, so there for I am not old. Also, I know people who are older than me that are not even married or have kids.
What I am trying to say or maybe just venting a little bit is that I do not appreciate the comments, cause maybe I am or have been trying for some time and just seeing them makes me sad or maybe I am just not ready yet and waiting for my special moment when everyone I know are done with having babies.
I love my life and I LOVE being an aunt and sharing those precious moments with my nephew and my friends kids. Life is too short to be worrying about when to start a family, I live my life to the fullest and I know that god has a plan for me and Kenny.
I love you all but I appreciate if you kept the baby comments to yourself.
Thanks!!

Auntie MEME R'US:)

Breaking NEWS!!

My sister Christy has publicly announced that she is Preggers again:) She is due May 8th. She always told me that she wants 2 kids and thats it. Which I believe her on that because then they would have to move to a different house and they love their house now and 2 is enough for her:) I am hoping and praying for a Niece. Please GOD:)

My Sister inlaw Neri is due November 10th and she is having a baby boy Marcus Matthew Martin.:) Mcube is what I'll call him:) So, I am so excited to see who he'll look like. He'll be here real soon and I just get so excited thinking about it.

I love being an Auntie, it's the greatest gift that God has given me. I love spoiling them and changing diapers. Yes, I may be crazy but I have the diaper changing down:) Soon I would love to be a mom, and I always say that I will have a baby after everyone else has have one. God has his plan for Kenny and I and Cora and I am just going to embrace every minute of it and whatever is in our future will be wonderful.

My plane experience to Oregon!

My Plane ride up to Oregon sucked! Well I can say it was quite an unforgettable morning. While kenny and I were driving to Lubbock, I missed the exit 4 times and that was stressful and then we were on the other side of the airport, so I had to figure out how to get to the other side. Once we arrived there it was 4:30am. I was already stressed out and it was such a relief to finally arrive there. Then I was waiting to board the plane and I got a text from orbitz saying that the plane is delayed to 7am, then like 5 mins later the guy announced to us that the plane was delayed. Almost half of the plane had to switched their 2nd flight because it would be an hour late. We were suppose to leave at 6am. Then we finally got on the plane around 7:10 and once we all were aboard they announced that the maintenance guy had to check the plane. So, we waited another 30mins on the plane. One of our lights were off on the plane, so they had to change the bulb. Then we finally took off at 7:40, my other plane was leaving at 9:20 in Dallas. So, Luckily we made good time with this plane, about 50mins. Then I just got off the plane around 8:40am and of course I was in section B and I had to go to section C, and I took the train to get there. I didn't have time to get food, magazines, gum. I only had time to pee and then once I arrived at the gate they called my section to board. So, by that time I was just relieved that I made my flight. Not to mention on the first flight I sat by an old guy that hasn't been on a plane in 30 years and he kept on saying comments like looks like we made it up in the air, and then I wonder if we will land and I guess we landed. I needed some duck tape cause you just don't say those comments, plus I was on the go the whole morning.
My 2nd flight was amazing. I have never been on such a wonderful plane with such nice people. Usually the flight attendants are rude but all these ladies were nice, and there were no guys on this plane that worked on it. I have never had a lady pilot. I finally made it to Oregon in one piece. It was such a great feeling to come back and see the Portland airport.

01 September 2009

It's About That Time:)

The TIME is almost here!

I am finally going back up to Oregon on Saturday. I do not know what I was thinking about being on the plane at 6am in Texas. Since where we live, we don't have a huge airport so my options were Albuquerque(3 1/2 hrs away), Lubbock or Amarillo(1 1/2hr away). So, I settled for Lubbock, Well then Clovis is Mountain time, and Lubbock is Central so I am adding an extra hour. So, I will have to leave here at 1am, which will be 2am in Lubbock, then fly to Dallas, and then up to Portland. I do not know why I have to fly to Dallas, I wish they had one to Denver, but of course not. So, I will be landing at 11:30am in Portland. It's actually a great flight, I try to spend no longer than 2 hrs in an airport as much as I can.
I've traveled so much, so I know my way around the Texas airports. I think the most confusing airport is the Honolulu one. I was by myself going to my sis wedding in Kauai and I had to figure out my way around and so I followed people and hoped they were going where I was. hahaha!! I hate trying to catch the train or bus, I usually walk but in Honolulu I had no time for walking and I was lost but of course I didn't ask for help and I made it there.

I am so hoping that everything will go as plan once I arrive to Oregon. I'll be in Beaverton, The Dalles and Newport. All in 2 weeks! It's going to be crazy, but thats my life. Along with homework, boy o boy I just wish I can decide on a major and finish school. Maybe before I am 30. Thats my goal!

Trip to Phoenix

Back from Phoenix! Had a blast hanging out with the family. It was soo hot there, I do not know why Kenny wants to move there and finish his school. It was so nice and cooler to come back to NM and cool down after a hot and steamy week in Phoenix. Even though it was in the 90's here it felt so much cooler.
His Brother leaves next week for Texas for a month and then he's off to Iraq or Afghanistan til next May or June. It was so great to see Neri's baby belly getting bigger, shes due November 10th, so hopefully Todd will be able to come back home for a week I believe to see his son.
We went to Wet n Wild, and I had so much fun on the water rides. I felt like a little kid and I didn't feel old at all. :) Then we went boating on lake pleasant. Todd, Kenny, Neri and I spent the night and let me tell ya, it was rough. The boat was wet and trying to adjust yourself on small seats wasn't that easy. We woke up around 530 the next morning and then we headed out to the cove and of course swam and got sunburn.
Todd came up with an invention for inner-tubing. It was made from rope and a life jacket:) I actually tried it and it worked out perfect. We had such a blast! That just makes me what to get a boat but since we don't live by water and we are in the military, that's not going to happen anytime soon.
I will be putting up a slide show of the pics I took in Phoenix!

29 July 2009

Summer is coming to an End!!

  • Finally:) After 5 years we have a new Laptop....Yay!!
  • We got a Sony Vaio! Kenny picked it all out and put all the computer technology stuff on the laptop. It's amazing how fast a laptop can be. I totally miss the fast speed. Last year Kenny's laptop crashed on us, so we lost a lot oWe were going to head to Vegas for all of us to meet there, but we decided to go to a different lake this time and experience something new.
    • I have about 40 some days till I am going back up to Oregon for my friends Christina's wedding in Newport and my Nephew 1st Birthday. Any day he'll be walking. He is such a cutie and a smart boy for his age but it does not surprise me after all my sister is his mom. :) I am flying up there since kenny wont be able to miss work and school. A bummer but life goes on, right?!?
  • We are heading to Phoenix on The 13th to go boating with the inlaws and his brother and sister in law. We can not wait for the trip. Cora loves boating and she has a fun time swimming at the lake.
That's whats going on for now.

11 July 2009

Finally...

Anyway, I finally received my temp drivers licenses. After waiting in line for 1 hr 30mins, yes who would have thought I would have waited that long in such a small town. I even got there 10 mins before they opened and there was a line, I was in awww.. but I am glad that they accepted everything and now I am just waiting to get it in the mail.
I finally got my last transcript and I got accepted into ENMU. I meet with my adviser on Monday to figure out whats next and what field I should go into. I am quite excited to go back to school, I kinda miss it.

Kenny starts his new work schedule this week. He will be working mids, so 11pm-7am. Kinda stinks cause we wont be sleeping together for a while. I am usually an early bird, so I am not sure how this schedule is going to work. It'll be nice once I start my classes up then he will be able to sleep in peace and quiet. He will be on this schedule for over 2 months and he is quite excited to be running his own shift since they are only 2 supervisors right now.

My birthday is in 2 days! I will be 24..wow!! It seems like the years just keep on going fast each year.

06 July 2009

July

For our 3rd Anniversary, Kenny and I went to Santa Fe, NM for 2 days. We went up to the mountains and it reminded me of Oregon so much. Santa Fe is beautiful and I wouldn't mind living there, but not sure if that will ever happen since Kenny has his eyes set on Vegas once we are out of the Military. There were so many camp sites and a ton of hiking areas. It was such a beautiful area. It was only a 3 1/2 hr drive from Clovis. I have learned that in the state of New Mexico, everything is far away and it's a long drive to all the popular places.

On some other news, my final transcript has arrived and now I am just waiting on the school to over look everything and send me a letter. Tomorrow I will be going to the DMV to get my new drivers licenses. I am quite excited to see what NM licenses look like.

My 24th is a week away and I am not ready for my bday. I feel like everyday is a blessing and I know 24 is just a number but it makes me realize how time has gone by so fast.

17 June 2009

Just a little update:)

It is official... My sister in law and brother in law are having a BOY...Yay! I knew it was going to be a boy because everyone I know that are pregnant between now and November, it's been going boy, girl, boy, girl...So Once I heard what the last friend is having, I knew what they were having. So now I will have 2 Nephews:) Ok, now When are the GIRLS going to come....Well probably start with me..hahaa! Just wanted to share that bit of information, She's due the 1st week of November.

Next, I have finally received my packet for my NM Drivers License...yay, now I just need to go to the library and rent the video and watch it, then I'll submit the test back in for my certificate. Who would of thought, I would be getting a certificate in order to get my NM drivers license....I should frame it:) Or at least take pictures.

Still no word on my school transcript, I am hoping that this week will be the week that all my transcripts are turned it and then I can finally meet with thee adviser...Wish me Luck:)

09 June 2009

waiting...

Waiting....That's always the case in my life. Never knowing what is going to happen or when something is going to happen. I wish life is much easier and you know when things are going to take place, but that's life because you never know what is going to happen next.
I am so ready for my transcripts to come and finally set up my classes with my adviser. It seems like this day is never going to come for me and I'll just be waiting and waiting hoping that I get accepted for my BA program.
I am also waiting for my packet to come in the mail for my drivers licenses. In the state of New Mexico, I had to send a 20 dollar money order and a form with all my information on it to Albuquerque and then they will send me a packet to that I will have to fill out and watch this video called "none for the road" and then once I filled the packet out then I will have to send it back to them. Then in the end, they will send me a certificate and I will then be able to get my license.
At least I do not have to take the written/driving test again. Some states do require that and hopefully I wont have to live in a state that requires that.

01 June 2009

Application Process Time..

Well...just another week away and hopefully all will be good for me to start school back up. After receiving my AA degree in December, I thought that I would not have to worry about transcripts, but that was a negative. I was checking my status on my application process and they have received my transcripts from OWC, but they need CGCC and SOU. So I was like ok no problem. Well I had to call up each school because it's been so long since I've logged in on those school accounts, so I forgot my password obviously! I finally got that all taken care of, so hopefully by next week all the transcripts will be there and I will finally get to meet with an adviser for my BA program.
I am so excited to start school back up. It's bee a long time since I've taken classes and now I will finally be in my program, so it'll be more time consuming but I am so ready for classes. Nice thing about the campus is that it's so much bigger than the ones I've gone too and it's a new campus, new opportunities and new friends.
Kenny is going into the electrical engineer program for his BA this fall also. It'll be nice to attend the same college again. Too bad we can not take any classes together like we did before, but that's alright.

27 May 2009

Plumbing Problems!

We have lived in our new house since April 20th and I have had so many plumbing problems. I am too the point where I give up and am ready to move. I have called the maintenance guy 5 times already and they would snake it out and it would be good for like a couple days and then it's back to being clogged. Every time I would run the dishwasher or the washer leaks start to come from the outside where the electrical room is and then the toilets would clog and if we flush the toilets water would come out of the tubs. It's just gross and I am so sick of cleaning it. I am too the point where I am ready to move into another base housing. The guys came yesterday and today I ran the dishwasher and now it's back to being clogged again, so now we can't use the toilets till the morning because it takes forever for it to unclog. Another thing that they told me to get was root stopper, so I tried that be obviously it didn't work because everything is clogged. It's just so irritating and I am so sick of cleaning the floors.

recent pics and family vacation.

I finally met my Nephew Carey Noah. He is so precious. He is 8 months now. We went up to Oregon and Arizona and Las Vegas to visit our families. We had a great time! Here are some pics of the trip.
