Update

Today we have finished up with everything that needed to be done for our move to New Mexico. We have our pre inspection on March 4th and on March 30th, that'll be our final inspection. We are thrilled to be almost done living here and moving to a different place.
On March 23rd we will be having the movers come and move our things for us. We will be living in our empty house for about a week until the final inspection. Then we will be living on base for a couple days till we leave April 1st.
It has been a great time living in Florida and we have had so many memories living here, we are thrilled about moving to a new place and starting a new life for us there. It wont be as busy there as it is here but we will make the most of it because there is nothing we can do about moving.
We will fill everyone in on our journey to New Mexico when we do get our place there and get the internet up.

Other news, I am working a couple extra weeks. So my last day of work is not feb. 28th. I just wanted to help out my bosses by training a new receptionist.

Accomplishment!

It's been a while since I wrote anything. So, I finally received my AA Degree in the mail yesterday. I am so excited right now. I keep on looking at it and I am just thinking wow, I have actually accomplished something. It took me 3 1/2 years to get it but if you knew my situation then it makes since. So, I started out at College at SOU, for a year then I moved back home at CGCC for another year. Met Kenny during that time and then moved down to Florida to be with him and started at OWC in Fort Walton Beach. A lot of my classes that I took did not transferred or the credits were 1.5 instead of 4 credits, so I had to make up classes that I already took in Oregon. It was a bummer, but hey you have to do whatever it takes to get through it. Anyway, I also took my education classes to receive my AA degree since that is my career plan.
I decided not to walk so I had to wait 4-6 weeks and trust me those were the longest 4-6 weeks of my life. So now I received my AA Degree at Florida State College(it was Okaloosa Walton College, but changed last fall).

What's next? We are moving April 1st to New Mexico, I have not looked at any colleges there, but once we move there I will have plenty of time to look at a college to get set up for the fall semester. I will keep you posted on that.

It's coming to a near end for me working at As You Like It. I have 3 more weeks of work and then the last month we will just be getting ready to move and Kenny has a ton of things to do with out processing for the military. It's going to be easy on my part but he has a ton of things to do. I will be able to spend the last month enjoying Florida, and who knows we may be back.

New Year!

It's 2009, it's amazing how time just keeps on going. This year is going to be an exciting year for Kenny and I. We will be moving to a new state in March. Still not sure of when the date will be. We should know by next week.
My last day of work is February 28th, which is going to be a bittersweet day. I am just amazed that the time is almost here for us to leave Florida. Right now, it has not sunk in that we will be leaving in about two months. I will miss the every day of working with ladies that I have become real close too. It's amazing how much I have grown by just working with the girls at As You Like It. They are apart of my life that I will never forget.
Lately, it has been quite warm for January, it is like a spring day in Oregon. At least we are not experiencing humidity at this moment.
The two years I have been here, I have not experienced a hurricane, which was a bummer cause I've always wanted to experience one. I have always said to kenny that a hurricane will not hit here because I am living here, so I am just going to wait till the hurricane season comes this year and we will see if a hurricane will come on by. Here are some pics of my family.

Merry Christmas!

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We had a great christmas. It'll be our last Christmas in Florida, so it is kinda sad but we are excited to move.
For Christmas we receive guitar hero from his parents. I have played it before when I went home to visit my family and I was addicted to it, so now I am getting use to playing it again and so far I have been doing fairly well on it.
We also got a new shelf so I can put my snowglobe collection on it and picture frames. It is real nice to have another shelf so we can have more room. Cora got a doggie bed from us and so far she's been sleeping on it. We leave it in the living room so she can lay on it while we are watching tv, or playing guitar hero.
Some other gifts we received were a griddle, blender, carpet cleaner, snow globes, candy, picture frames, etc.
Now that the holidays are almost over, I am getting ready to start carpet cleaning and start packing up some boxes in the garage. It's never too soon to start packing especially when we have many things in our garage that we do not use at this moment.

Pictures at the dog park!

Here are some of the pictures we took at the dog park.
We take Cora to the park about once a week. Now that we are out of school, we can take her more often.

Happy Holidays!

There is nothing like Florida weather. It amazes me how one day can be 70 degrees and then the next day it can be in the 40s. No wonder why people are coming down with colds. Luckily we are not sick. I am usually sick once a year or maybe twice. Just depending on the year! We went to the Doggie Park with Cora on friday. It was a nice day and it wasn't too cold outside. We took some pics at the park.

As some of you may already know we are done with school for the term. So now we are on our winter break. It has been a good break so far. It has been quite relaxing for me not to worry about school work. Work is going great. With the holiday season just around the corner, it has been quite busy at work but it is great because I enjoy staying busy.

I will be posting more pictures on here shortly!

I am finished with my holiday shopping for the year. I am so excited to be done with christmas shopping. I can't wait till Christmas gets here. This year we are going to just stay home and have a turkey dinner and open presents. We got Cora a dog bed and hopefully she'll sleep on it or if she doesn't then we will just keep it down in the living room and she can lay on it while watching tv. We will see what she ends up doing. This will be our last christmas in Florida, so it is a little sad but exciting at the same time. We are ready for change and moving to a different state will be a great experience. We have seen so much already and we can not wait to see mountains again.

Thanksgiving

Kenny and I spent thanksgiving at home this year. We had a couple friends come over to enjoy a great meal. I made my first turkey and it turned out wonderful. I was so excited about the outcome of the whole dinner. I made green bean casserole, mash potatoes, squash, rolls and turkey. I have recently started baking, I think that with it being the holiday season its making me want to bake a lot more.

We had a nice thanksgiving break from school and now we are both back in our classes. My last final is December 12th and I will be done with school for now. I will be receiving my AA degree this month and then once we move to NM we both will be looking for a college to start our Bachelors program. I am very excited to be almost finished with school. This term has been going fairly well and the teachers have not been too hard. It has been amazing how fast this term has gone by.

Cora is now 19 months today. She's growing up so fast and it's been a great time with her so far. She is such a smart puppy and it's amazing how well she is behaved. She is a golden/lab mix. Cora is an amazing dog and we enjoy spending a lot of time with her.
